Spiritual Formation is how we describe the important and difficult task of forming our souls after the image of Christ. It’s the hard work of discipleship making, and it’s an invitation for honesty, commitment, and sacrifice. If Jesus is the seed, and if the seed is designed to grow and bear fruit for the world, then our soul or spiritual lives would be the soil.
God gives the growth, but we are the cultivators of our own soil. Through Sunday worship, Sunday school (spiritual formation classes), The Bishop’s Chair, Askesis, and outreach opportunities, we invite everyone to pick up a hoe and join us in the challenging and glorious task of being deconstructed and remade into our true selves – the real and radical family of God.
