Operation Serve

Our mission is to do hard things for God, our families,
and our community

Operation Serve is the name of our ecumenical youth development organization. More than just a youth group, Operation Serve is a rigorous and relevant community-service program that teaches our youth the value of hard and meaningful work and the value of reaching out to some of the most disadvantaged citizens and families in Quincy.

Our teenagers come from various churches all throughout our city, and together we have served Quanada, Madonna House, Chaddock, The Salvation Army, Horizons Social Services, The Illinois Veterans Home, and many other organizations in our community.

We believe that young people are capable of doing great things. We also believe that now is the time to fight against a culture that is besieging our students with the temptation to do less.

We believe that by engaging our youth in rigorous and relevant work, they will discover that they are valuable and that others are counting on them.

We believe the Holy Spirit is urging us to reach out to the lost, the neglected, and the marginalized in our society. By focusing on compassionate service, weare living into our identity as God’s people, saved and redeemed by his Son, Jesus Christ.
